Trauma and Bio Mitigation

CCR Mitigation provides trauma and bio mitigation and surrounding areas with discreet response, licensed and insured crews, and a documented cleanup process that protects occupants, property, and the claim file.

What happens during trauma and bio mitigation?

Trauma and bio mitigation requires a discreet and controlled process. CCR Mitigation focuses on safety, contamination control, and documentation so the property can be cleaned with as little disruption as possible.

  • Emergency intake gathers access, safety, and privacy requirements.
  • The mitigation crew evaluates the scene and confirms the safest cleanup path.
  • Containment and controlled removal steps help prevent cross-contamination.
  • Cleaning, disinfection, and disposal planning are documented for the project file.
  • Photos and written scope notes support the insurance claim process.
  • Direct insurance billing support reduces administrative pressure on the property owner.
  • Work continues until the affected area is stabilized and ready for follow-up restoration if needed.

What do trauma and bio mitigation timelines and insurance steps usually look like?

Trauma and bio losses require discreet, careful coordination. CCR Mitigation keeps the timeline and claim documentation aligned so the property owner gets one clear process instead of multiple disconnected steps.

We had a pipe bust and Chris immediately got someone to come out to take a look. It was on the weekend before my daughter’s wedding and the team came out and found the leak and fixed the problem right away. They could have charged an arm and a leg but were very reasonable and I am so appreciative! Thanks! Chris and Eric!

I recently had a water leak at my grandmothers house that caused a lot of damage. She doesn’t make decisions for herself so as power of attorney I had to handle the claim with insurance and they immediately sent a company out. I was unimpressed with this company and started making calls. I spoke with friends, family and Eric’s name and number was given to me. It was a heaven sent because dealing with insurance, paperwork and damages was so overwhelming! Especially since my elderly grandmother was living in this home. Eric handled taking over the job from the company sent out and quickly got me up to speed on how it would go from that point on. Eric and his team made the process so easy for me. They kept me informed and kept a schedule that I could work around. They not only did great work but were kind and caring to our situation and patient with my grandmother. I am very thankful for this team.

We have a training facility in Alpharetta with recovery cold plunges. Unfortunately, one of the cold plunges leaked over 100 gallons of water. I contacted CCR Mitigation, and they arrived within an hour to clean up the water, dry everything out, and prevent mold. Their customer service is outstanding! Eric and Holli were absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their quick response, which saved me thousands in potential repairs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We had a water leak with damage. Insurance sent company. I did not like what they were saying and doing telling me what was what. I handled two rental properties and did a lot of work myself. My children have those houses now. I fired that company and found Eric Thur friends. Liked what his plan was immediately. He drove 2 hours to get here. My mom going Thur cancer the other company was intending to leave mold. No! Even if we were not going Thur that. There is never an excuse to leave mold. He listened to me and I listened to him we met in my middle. Him and his crew worked so hard. Did things above and beyond. I have delt with lots of contractors over time! This guy is one of the best!!!!

CCR Mitigation company did a good job repairing water damage to our Bathroom floor and kitchen floor from a dishwasher leak recently. Eric did try to get our home owners insurance to cover the cost but no success. We ended up covering the cost ourselves. His work did take a little longer than expected due to vehicle accidents and family emergencies with his company. He did do some plumbing work as well and a few extra’s with his house repairs.

Custom Build Process

Step 1Immediate Intake
Call 24/7 Emergency Number

A CCR coordinator captures critical loss details, confirms safety concerns, and dispatches the right response team.

Emergency priority: If there is active flooding or electrical risk, prioritize life safety and call 911 before mitigation dispatch.

  • Rapid triage for water, fire, storm, and biohazard events
  • Insurance-ready intake notes from the first call
  • Arrival window and escalation path provided immediately

Helpful details to have ready

Property address and contact number

When the incident started

Current source status (active leak, power, etc.)

Any visible safety hazards

Step 2Field Evaluation
On-site Assessment

Our team documents moisture spread, damage categories, and affected materials to build a targeted mitigation plan.

What to expect: Every assessment is tailored to source type, material class, and occupancy needs.

  • Moisture mapping and thermal checks
  • Scope confirmation with photos and readings
  • Contained-area strategy to limit secondary damage

Assessment outputs

Written mitigation scope

Initial drying or cleanup timeline

Equipment placement plan

Step 3Stabilize + Protect
Mitigation Work

We execute the approved scope, monitor progress daily, and adapt quickly as readings improve or conditions change.

What to expect: Mitigation ends only after objective readings and visual checks indicate the structure is ready for reconstruction.

  • Water extraction, drying, and dehumidification
  • Controlled demolition when required
  • HEPA filtration and antimicrobial protocols as needed

What happens during active mitigation

Daily moisture and progress logs

Equipment adjustment for efficiency

Step 4Recovery Planning
Next Steps Consultation

After drying and stabilization, we walk through restoration options and help align scope, timeline, and finish priorities.

Transition point: This stage is where we turn emergency response into a clear, confident path to a better finished result.

  • Restore to pre-loss condition
  • Upgrade selected spaces during rebuild
  • Coordinate scheduling for a smoother handoff
